Anne, I know you were on the cover of Time magazine and all, but even in their unabashed adoration of you they never took you for more than the gauche vaudevillian act that you are, as evidenced by putting you under the "Artists and Entertainers" category of their 100 Most Influential People issue for 2005.

Of course your shelf life expired a long time ago, reducing you to the pitiable state of making increasingly wild-eyed, deranged remarks to keep your books' Amazon rankings from tanking as soon as they zoomed up. Tsk tsk.

Why the media gives airtime to has-been cheap circus acts is beyond me.

Oh, but of course. It's because they are cheap and lazy.
