Saddam Judge Removed

for being too soft.

I wonder if the judge would've been removed as well if he was too harsh?

I'm not familiar at all with Iraqi law but shouldn't the prudent course of action be, with the judge being removed, for a mistrial to be declared and proceedings to start all over again?

If the ruling Iraqi government is interested in a fair and impartial trial that is, or at least a semblance of it.

Then again, maybe the point is they're not.

Update:

Saddam's lawyers walk out in protest.
