Dateline Iraq: Bombs Kill 25, Including 3 British Soldiers

A car bomb in Baghdad kills 22, injures 40:

A car bomb killed 22 people and wounded 40 on Thursday at an intersection in Baghdad where minibuses pick up and drop off passengers, Iraqi police said.

They said the explosion took place in the mainly Shi'ite district of Bayaa, in southwestern Baghdad. The area has been a frequent target of bomb attacks.

Police said around 40 vehicles had been set ablaze by the bomb, which went off during the morning rush hour.
Meanwhile, a roadside bomb kills 3 British Soldiers in Basra:

Spokesman Major David Gell said the blast occurred in southeastern Basra in the early hours of Thursday while the soldiers were on foot.
