A Horse! A Horse! My Kingdom for a Horse!
Is apparently a phrase Bush, that windshield cowboy, will never utter:
President Bush may like to be seen as a swaggering tough guy with a penchant for manly outdoor pursuits, but in a new book one of his closest allies has said he is afraid of horses. As the magnificent Molly Ivins used to say, all hat and no cattle.
Flashback: Laura Bush on what her husband did to a male horse.
From the same article we also learn this:
Donald Rumsfeld, his defence secretary until last November, asked recently if he missed the president, said flatly: "No."Careful Rummy, or you'll be as welcome as a horse at Crawford and the White House.
Added: And speaking of Rummy, Stanford faculty and students are none too happy with its Hoover Institute giving him a visiting fellowship.
