Kilimanjaro's PeakTanzania's Mt. Kilimanjaro as it has always been for 11,000 years: Mt. Kilimanjaro now: The majestic mountain's snowy cap is all but gone, 15 years before scientists predicted it would happen because of global warming. George W. Bush doesn't believe in global warming, though our own scientists report that it can't be explained by natural causes alone. Congress followed suit by rejecting Senator John McCain's (R-AZ) global warming bill, with Senator James "I'm outraged by the outrage" Inhofe (R-OK) calling global warming a "hoax". I doubt even James Baker's change of heart would convince Mr. Bush. After all, big oil will not be ignored. Meanwhile, as flat earthers stay in denial and continue to treat our planet like a dump, sights like this will only multiply. • Images from vub.ac.be & guardian.co.uk. +Save/Share | | |
