Bush Negative Job Approvals in 40 of 50 StatesThe Bush ship continues to sink.On average, his approval rating is 40% versus a disapproval rating of 57%. Looking at the breakdown provided by SurveyUSA, it's not surprising he got strong negative ratings from the 19 states that voted for Kerry in 2004; what's revealing is how 21 of the states that voted for him aren't happy with him now. Of those 21 red states, the 5 where he has the worst disapproval ratings are Ohio (60%), Colorado (58%), Iowa (58%), Arkansas (56%) and Florida (55%). Let's juxtapose these numbers with the list of the top ten endangered incumbents from Roll Call's Stuart Rothenberg:
Will Bush's unpopularity rub off on these legislators to weaken them even further? Hard to say as there are other factors involved, but if I were Dubya, I wouldn't be waiting for an invite anytime soon. +Save/Share | | |
