White Powder Scare At Air America

The packages were discovered in the mail:

The three packages - one of which was addressed to on-air personality Al Franken - contained a powder-like substance, which proved to be harmless.

In Los Angeles, a man was charged yesterday with mailing more than a dozen letters containing white powder to Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Jon Stewart and other high-profile figures.

Chad Conrad Castagana, 39, appeared in U.S. District Court to face a two-count complaint of sending threats and sending hoaxes by mail.

Why is it that only liberals or perceived liberals get these threats?

Incidentally, Castagana is a frequent commenter at wingnut central The Free Republic. More on on his obscene rantings, including the FBI's affidavit over at Radar.

Also, let's not forget the anthrax attacks in 2001, when the office of Democratic Senators Tom Daschle and Pat Leahy received the real thing in the mail. To this day that case remains unsolved, which proves anyone who says we haven't had a terrorist attack since 9/11 thanks to Bush is just full of it.
