Restoring Felons' Rights

Don't know much about Charlie Crist, Florida's new Republican Governor, but this tells me he's an improvement over Jeb Bush.

Politicians usually don't deal with this issue because it's a political landmine, but kudos to Crist for having the guts to do just that. He may be doing it to curry favor with his black constituents (there's a disproportionate number of blacks in our prisons), but who cares? It's still an issue that needs to be addressed.

Felons who have paid their debt to society by serving time and/paying restitution to the full extent that justice demands deserve to have their civil rights restored.

I hope other governors in other states follow his example.
