Poor John McCain, LiterallyNo respite from bad news for John McCain.First, he's so low on cash he paired down his Iowa staff from 17 to 7. Now, even long shot Ron Paul has more cash on hand than he does: ABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports: Though often regarded as a longshot candidate for president, Republican Ron Paul tells ABC News that he has an impressive $2.4 million in cash on hand after raising an equal amount during the second quarter, putting him ahead of one-time Republican frontrunner John McCain, who reported this week he has only $2 million in the bank.Perhaps it's got to do with Ron Paul's robust online support. Does this mean that Ron Paul is one of the big guys now? No. He's still way behind Giuliani and Romney, not to mention that he's also way below the $11.2 million total that McCain himself has raised. The figures say more about McCain and his mighty fall from grace. Not long ago, he was deemed a shoo in for the Republican nomination. Today, not so much. I wonder what kind of flip flopping he'll engage in next to shore up his campaign's fortunes. Either that or as The Poor Man Institute suggests, selling his wares on eBay. Tags:
