Bullshit Protector ReduxSee, this is the problem when the right wing starts internalizing its own hype. Remember this photo? I do because I've blogged about it before. Apparently, it's going around wingnuttia as a "wonderful picture of one of the vets listening to Hillary address the Veterans of Foreign Wars". Except, it's not: Bill Moyer, 73, wears a "Bullshit Protector" flap over his ear while President George W. Bush, on screen at rear, addresses the Veterans of Foreign Wars at their 106th Convention Monday, August 22, 2005, in Salt Lake City. Moyer served in Korea and Vietnam and in the post-WWII occupation of Germany. Notice how in the first photo the tell tale sign of Bush in the background was snipped off. How convenient. The right wing buys these lies because they think they own the troops. I mean, horror of horrors, how can they possibly imagine that a veteran, instead of dissing a Democrat, would commit such heresy against Dear Leader? Bet they don't think it's such a "wonderful" picture now. Perhaps veteran Bill Moyer was a "phony soldier"? Looks like we'll need our own wingnut bullshit protectors. Technorati Tags:
