"Only The Lobbyists"

I like this guy:

Just so we don't have to go through this whole resignation thing again," one ballsy reporter asked, "have you ever patronized a prostitute?" [Incoming New York Governor David] Patterson thought for a minute. "Only the lobbyists," he said.

Incidentally, Paterson will be the first African American governor of New York; he's also legally blind.

More on the man's humor, modesty and levelheadedness was on display at his press conference. I think he'll do just fine.
