"Shecky Bush"Why I don't read Time much:The article doesn't mention that the so called "A Conversation on Strengthening Social Security" town hall meetings that Mr. Bush has been holding across the country are nothing more than conversations with himself, staged events where handpicked participants go through rehearsals the night before and merely echo what he's saying. The article doesn't mention that the "regular Americans" who fill up Mr. Bush's town hall meetings "love his quips" because they're mostly Republican faithful gathered up by the local party committee or bused in by privatization advocates like Freedomworks. Neither does the article mention that the "hecklers" shut out of these "town hall meetings" financed by taxpayer money are citizens deprived of the chance to speak because they dare question Mr. Bush. +Save/Share | | |
