Shorter Trent Lott: I don't wanna play with them, they were mean to me.

I'll never read a blog," says the former Senate majority leader, who forfeited that title after bloggers Joshua Micah Marshall and Glenn Reynolds picked up a racially charged remark, drawing the attention of mainstream media (MSM) and his Senate colleagues.

Savvier policymakers recognize the growing power and influence of blogs. It's the best way to get instant feedback as well as the best way to send their message out without being diluted by the media.

Meanwhile, Lott insists on living in the Dark Ages. His loss.
