Boy Scouts: You're Doing A Heck of A Job, Rummy

The Boy Scouts channels Dubya's penchant for rewarding failure and dereliction of duty:

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld received scouting's highest honor from the Boy Scouts of America here today.

The Silver Buffalo Award, created in 1925, is bestowed upon those who give "truly noteworthy and extraordinary" service to America's youth. Notable recipients include Charles A. Lindbergh, Norman Rockwell, Gen. Colin Powell, Walt Disney, Hank Aaron, Bob Hope, Vince Lombardi, Neil Armstrong, Charles M. Schulz and 14 U.S. presidents.
Uhm, I have a question.

Does sending our young men and women to fight and die in an unjustified, illegal war count as "truly noteworthy and extraordinary" service to America's youth?

If not, shouldn't he receive your condemnation rather than your commendation?

I'm just saying.
